  2. The best time in New Zealand will be around 8:45 to 9:00pm on Saturday the 28th. Remember Venus becomes visible shortly after sunset, and moves very quickly down into the horizon, so be ready! practice with your telescope for several days ahead, I have been for a week already. good luck! please let us all know how you get on, how many people watched with you, what kind of telescope you used, your location, etc.. we really need to know, please help us with this reporting.

  3. Best time for Nicaragua will be on Friday 27th, at 18:00 Local Time (0:00 GMT). The Moon and Venus will be at some 30 degress above the horizon whit the evening sunlight fading away slowly. That would make the Moon and Venus a nice target for binoculars observation. At 1900 hours, Moon and Venus will still be above the horizon about some 15 degrees. Enough time and altitude for a beatiful event.

  6. Great project! Hello from Greece, here Venus is visible in the western skies from 18:30 until 21:00-21:30 local time (i.e. UTC +2.00).
It's snowy and cloudy in most part of the country the last days, let's hope it'll get clear.

    Best wishes to all

  8. I was out of town without my camera on Saturday evening when I spotted the Moon and Venus in very clear skies over Brockville, Ontario, Canada. I immediately used my cell phone to send a text message to my daughter and wife in Ottawa and told them to take a picture. Both were successful, though their hands were skaking with the cold.
